As one of Portugal’s leading supermarket brands, Continente has long supported the Portuguese national football teams. This year, with a special event ahead, the support called for an equally special campaign.

Developed by Fuel, with production consultancy from Proud, the campaign set out to uncover the lucky charm that has accompanied Portuguese football for decades. Through a playful combination of archive footage, new live action shoots and creative post production, the answer emerged: codfish.

The Lucky Cod became the heart of a campaign that celebrates one of Portugal’s most iconic traditions with humour and national pride. A joyful concept and a truly enjoyable film to bring to life.
